DEWIS Symposium 2022
“Putting the diversity of human-beings centre-stage”
On November 14, 2022, the annual DEWIS Symposium will be held at Lijm en Cultuur, Delft. This year's theme "Gendered and Inclusive Research and Innovation (GIRI) in STEM" is dedicated to considering the diversity of people and their visibility in research and innovation. In addition to speakers such as Mara Tanelli (Politecnico Milano), David Abbink (TU Delft) and Claudia Werker (TU Delft), who will present their ideas on GIRI in Mint, Prof. Carmen Leicht-Scholten will give a keynote on "Socially Responsible Perspectives on Data, Algorithms and Digitalization - Why gender matters?". In addition, as every year, the DEWIS Award will be presented.
DEWIS (Delft Women in Science) empowers brilliant female scientists, raises awareness of gender barriers, and influences gender policy to make TU Delft more diverse and inclusive. The award is given for exceptional contributions to achieving an inclusive work environment and improving equality and gender diversity for women scientists at TU Delft.
