Talk Lehre: Dialog on Teaching

The event will take place on June 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Super C of RWTH Aachen University.

On June 20, 2022, as part of the twelfth edition of the Talk Lehre conference format, Professor Korte Kerzel, as well as Dr. Sebastian Daniel Reinartz will be honored with the RWTH Teaching Award for their outstanding achievements in teaching. For the first time, the teaching award will also be presented in the category of sustainability, which will be awarded to Prof. Carmen Leicht-Scholten, Bridge Professorship Gender and Diversity in Engineering.

In addition, many exciting projects and best practice examples from teaching at RWTH Aachen University will once again be presented, dedicated to selected topics such as digitalization, hybrid teaching and sustainability.

Prof. Dr. Aaron Praktiknjo, Rectorate Representative for Sustainability, will present, among other things, the concept of the interdisciplinary Micro-Bachelor for Sustainability, with which RWTH Aachen aims to fulfill its social responsibility as a university of excellence and the largest technical university of future decision-makers in Germany. In the interdisciplinary course, students will be taught the basics of sustainability based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and their significance for our present and future society.
