Technology and Society - Project "Leonardo" SS19
In the 2019 summer term, for the first time, Prof. Carmen Leicht-Scholten and Prof. Dominik Groß will offer the "Leonardo" module "Responsible Innovation – Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Technology and Society”.
In the module students get to know interfaces between technology and society. On this basis, they learn to apply and evaluate related problems as well as the effects of technical innovations on their respective disciplines. The lecturers come from a wide range of disciplines in order to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of the topic.
The content includes global technology transfer, the resulting consequences for people and the environment, technical ethics, technology acceptance and technology assessment. All under the central question: How can socially responsible technology design look like?
