Online conference: The Epidemiology and Economics of Coronavirus
Jennifer Bosen, research assistant at GDI, participated in the online conference "The Epidemiology and Economics of Coronavirus" hosted by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network .
The virtual conference of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) on the impact of COVID-19 on public health and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) took place on 30th of march in 2020. In addition to status reports on national strategies for dealing with the pandemic by experts from individual countries, Prof. Jeffrey Sachs (SDSN, Columbia University) and Martin Mühleisen (IMF) gave assessments and outlooks on the economic consequences of the pandemic, while Yuning Gao (Tsinghua University) gave an insight into China's economic post-corona strategy. In the context of SDGs, the implementation of prevention measures in the context of migration was also discussed and reflected under the guiding principle of "Leaving no one behind".
