International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women & Talk at Project Leonardo
Today, 25 November, is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In Germany, every fourth woman has experienced physical or sexual partner violence at least once in her life. Women of all social classes are affected. In order to combat domestic violence effectively, cooperation between all those responsible in governmental and non-governmental institutions is necessary.At the GDI we position ourselves against gender-specific violence and commit ourselves to continue researching and working for a safer world for women. In this context and on the occasion of the SDGs, Prof. Carmen Leicht-Scholten will today give a lecture on gender equality as part of the Leonado Project.
