How will the mobility of the future look like?
The GDI is part of the graduate college ACCESS! and will be one of eleven chairs at the RWTH in an interdisciplinary cooperation on the question “What will the mobility of the future look like”? Future technical and infrastructural possibilities as well as social demands and global environmental goals will be taken into account. Two practical projects will take into account the challenges in large cities - MetropoleRuhr - as well as those in rural areas - Heinsberg district.

Sustainable Development Goals
The interdisciplinary project integrates various aspects regarding the design of future mobility systems and forms. In addition to technical and infrastructural possibilities, individual mobility needs in terms of inclusion and equality as well as environmental compatibility on a local, regional and global scale are considered in order to shape sustainable mobility.
