New Science Careers
After careful study, new career paths should be developed that will help make careers in science and research more attractive to women and men. The goal is to increase the proportion of women in leadership positions in these fields. This is a joint venture of five technical universities, namely the RWTH Aachen, the TU Berlin, the TU Braunschweig, the University of Hannover and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology as well as the four major research organizations Fraunhofer Society, Helmholtz Association, Leibniz Association and the Max-Planck Society. These institutions account for many excellent careers in science among them, and the goal of increasing the number of women in scientific leadership positions can only be achieved if they work together.
