Responsibilities
Miriam Lämmerhirt is a research assistant at the research group Gender and Diversity in Engineering (GDI) since 2012. She is the study course coordinator of the cooperative programme Civil Engineering with Orientation Semester (BIOS) of RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen. Her research interests focus on improving the introductory phase of study programmes as well as socially responsible engineering education.
Career
Miriam Lämmerhirt studied Sociology, Political Science and Psychology at RWTH Aachen University. After that, she was a research assistant at the staff unit "Integration Team - Human Resources, Gender and Diversity Management" at RWTH, where she coordinated the project TANDEMplus, the mentoring programme for female researchers. She later took on the coordination of the research project Highly Skilled Female Migrants in Technological Cutting-edge Research at Universities funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Since 2012, Miriam Lämmerhirt is a research assistant at GDI where she first coordinated the project Gender- und Diversity-orientierte Maßnahmenevaluation an der RWTH Aachen (DiEVa).
