Frauke Kordtomeikel is working at the GDI, besides supervising various student courses, in the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 188 Damage Controlled Forming Processes on raising awareness for a gender & diversity inclusive culture. In the Cluster of Excellence Internet of Production she is involved in the subproject "Integrated Usage" with acceptance research in organizations. Her research interests include engineering culture & education and related gender & diversity aspects.
Frauke Kordtomeikel studied business engineering at RWTH Aachen University and Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in Finland. Her focus was on technology and innovation management as well as metal forming. During her studies, Frauke worked in technology management at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT). After receiving her master's degree, she joined an electric car startup in purchasing and controlling. She has worked since 2019 as a research associate in the Research Group Gender and Diversity in Engineering.
