Diversity Management in Industry
The digital workshop "Diversity Management in Industry" took place on June 8th within the framework of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center Transregio 188 (TRR 188) Damage-Controlled Forming Processes. After the keynote speech by Ford, which presented an applied industry perspective on diversity and human resource management, an exciting and interdisciplinary panel discussion between experts from industry (including Daimler and Siemens) followed, moderated by Prof. Leicht-Scholten. Together with the audience, a constructive discussion emerged about diversity management approaches, the holistic appreciation of diversity, the importance of role models at management level, and the transferability of concepts to the scientific community.
TRR 188 strives to raise employee awareness of diversity in participating research organizations, with the goal of achieving lasting change in organizational culture.
